React Camp
R.E.A.C.T. Camp: Is an Outdoor\Indoor group class based on dynamic cross training that borrows techniques from various fitness disciplines and fuses them into a streamlined system of kinetic movements with active rest periods, usually consisting of isokenetic muscle contractions. Exercises require very little or no equipment at all. R.E.A.C.T. camp is 1 hour long and broken down into 3 innovative phases.
Phase 1 – R.E.A.C.T. Together: Students as a whole are instructed in various cardio based & plyometric movements for 30 minutes.
Phase 2 – R.E.A.C.T. Teams: Students are split into pairs. Partner assisted exercise are performed. This is a favorite Phase among fellow R.E.A.C.Ters.
Phase 3 – R.E.A.C.T. Stations: 4-5 Exercise stations are created by the coach. Students will be divided evenly into each station and will perform the required exercise at the station for 30 seconds to 1 minute. After the time has expired students will rotate stations accordingly. R.E.A.C.T. Camp offers a fun filled fitness challenge for all levels! 80% of our camps are held outdoors in beautiful parks such as McCarren Park in Williamsburg Brooklyn, Gantry State Park in Long Island City, Queens and Central Park, NYC. When the weather doesn’t allow us to be outside, we hold class in one of our indoor locations.
As students progress within R.E.A.C.T. Camp they will increase levels as the coach deems fit. This is represented by colored wrist sweat bands as follows:
- White – Novice
- Blue – Intermediate
- Red – Advanced
This colored wrist sweat band gives students incentives to give it their all and try their best to progress fitness levels at the same time keeping classes fun!
